Please help we need to relocate

My husband (tw0 kids) and I are really interested in relocating to the US or Canada. We don't have any immediate family in any of these places. We're both intelligent hard-working individuals. Can anybody offer suggestions on how to be sucessful in this venture PLEASE!!!
